Liberty Lyss@liberty_lyss· 15. Feb. 2025Fun Fact:
San Francisco has spent $20 billion fighting homelessness since 2020.
They have ~8,300 homeless today.
That budget is $2.4 MILLION per homeless person.
Taxes have never been about helping the poor.

@elonmusk · 18. Feb. 2025
Such a crazy high monetary incentive per homeless person means the homeless problem will be maximized, not minimized

love how people watch the tv series "silicon valley" and think "wow it can't really be that crazy" but actually it's crazier - reality is stranger than fiction because fiction has to be 'believable' but reality doesn't to be - they dont go far enough because no one would believe

You wanna do something fun?
Go on the DOGE website, click on any random contract, and google the company that was hired for that contract.
9 out of 10 have completely terrible websites.
Which probably means the company solely exists to grift off the US taxpayer.
Try it.

The midterms are here now...
This is VOTERMAPS.
Our premise is simple.
We want to turn every citizen into a poll watcher and GOTV activist using X.
The problem is that all of the incumbents and dark money special interest groups hoard the data, which is expensive and
John LeFevre@JohnLeFevre· 17. Feb. 202590% of Congressional incumbents win reelection.
And a bunch of Rs and Ds need to be sent home in the primaries.
Two problems: $ and data.
We are hoping to solve this problem by democratizing the voter data - while also supporting GOTV and fighting fraud.
This is why we

To be clear, the government was spending $4.7T without any documentary requirement that it was connected to an approved budget item.
I'm trying to wrap my brain around this. It suggests that Congressional budgets, signed by the president, were a kind of fiction or a wish list
