Has anyone done the math on whether banning plastic bags at stores actually helps save the environment?
Many people reuse them as garbage bags etc. Now they have to buy special garbage bags that use more plastic.
The other types of reusable bags now sold anywhere from 25c to $5

There is no good reason to ban plastic bags or straws in any country where trash is not dumped in the water
