Exactly.
The source documents some of the NT are traced back to 55-65 AD, very close to th actual events of Jesus time.
In addition, the Dead Sea Scrolls written from around 300 BC to 100 AD are found to be almost exactly true to the Old Testament we have today.
It is amazing.
