Despite my disagreements with some of @ElonMusk’s political posturing, I still regard him as a truly remarkable entrepreneur. Someone capable of shaping the future perhaps more than any one else on the planet. But right now I believe he’s in danger of juggling too many balls in

I’m not opposed to the idea in principle, but I’m not sure there is a pragmatic or legal way to merge them.
There is also value in equity incentives of people at the companies being tied to that company’s accomplishments.
