Republicans lost the TX SD-9 runoff because they are not a real political party and do not have a real political machine.
Instead of systematically harvesting votes, they rely on the civic motivations of their voters. I regret to inform you that this is gay

Of those who voted in the TX SD-9 runoff, 50%+ were GOP primary voters or at GOP HH; only 35% were Dems or at Dem HH
