i dont think people understand what the xAI all-hands means:
if spacex starts deploying orbital solar-powered compute at the rates elon said, it would more or less look like this:
year 1: 100 GW. roughly 1% of earth's total energy capacity
year 2: 300 GW cumulative. 3% of
