Here is my weird Starship Leg Design, 2 deployable inside the skirt and 2 inside the flaps. All self levelling. (Really rushed the modelling part on this one, please excuse me😅)

Science is discovering the essential truths about what exists in the Universe, engineering is about creating things that never existed

Much of what people think of an science is actually engineering, eg no such thing as a “rocket scientist”, only rocket engineers. Latter is who put humans on the moon.

In a major scientific breakthrough, the latest version of #AlphaFold has been recognised as a solution to one of biology's grand challenges - the “protein folding problem”. It was validated today at #CASP14, the biennial Critical Assessment of protein Structure Prediction (1/3)

The second starship on the right is photoshopped, it is my representation only hence "(pshopped)"in the description.
I can't wait to see this become a reality one day!

How goes the debate about the legs? Still thinking they will be similar flip out style to Falcon 9? If so, how would they be shielded on the windward side for reentry?
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 29 nov. 2020
Starship legs are one of the hardest problems. Externally mounted legs require shielding, which adds mass. Wider stance adds mass. Shock absorbers add mass. That said, we need better legs.

Are you nervous about people watching from the build site? I can’t believe it’s almost the same thrust as a F9
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 29 nov. 2020
Static fire is not risky from build site, but we need to clear the build site for early flights

An alert notice has been given to the residents of Boca Chica village for Starship testing on Monday, but before you panic, it appears to be the standard static fire (or similar) notice. There is no requirement of temporarily leaving the village.

I really should be defaulting to int64_t and double for everything in the modern world until performance proves to be a problem, but old habits die hard. Printf format specifiers for int64_t still irritate me.
