Yeah, major problem
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav· 10 déc. 2024D.O.G.E. ... we have a problem.
28% of every dollar the US govt collects in revenue (taxes, tariffs, fees) during 2025 will go to paying interest on the US national debt.

The “save the homeless” NGOs are often paid according to how many homeless people are on the streets, thus creating a strong financial incentive for them to maximize the number of homeless people and never actually solve the problem!
Incentives explain outcomes.
Thorolf Butter@ThorolfButter· 10 déc. 2024@farzyness @elonmusk NGOs for homelessness or addiction generally have little incentive to solve either. The presence of social services programs will also attract homeless people from outside the region. Most of the visible homeless have smartphones and will relocate for access to welfare programs

It's embarrassing that the richest country in the world cannot properly diagnose and action this problem.
These people are in dire need of mental help, and a home ain't going to fix shit.

Department of Government Efficiency@DOGE· 10 déc. 2024The Federal government spends 80% of its annual $100 billion IT budget on maintaining outdated systems.

Go walk down the street in downtown San Diego, you’ll literally get punched in the head by someone Democrats say is “homeless”, meanwhile they’re talking to themselves, chasing people and screaming and light poles. After multiple physical assaults you realize it’s time to move
