Two facts:
1) It’s illegal to build apartments in 74% of San Francisco today.
2) 54% of existing San Francisco homes are in buildings that would be illegal to build today.
Hunter📈🌈📊@StatisticUrban· 9 déc. 2024Literally how is it possible that in San Francisco 71.41% of housing units were built in 1969 or earlier.
I know the NIMBY situation there is bad but they continually manage to fall below my already rock bottom expectations.

The mantra of our government: pay more, get less.
Department of Government Efficiency@DOGE· 10 déc. 2024The Federal government spends 80% of its annual $100 billion IT budget on maintaining outdated systems.
Not only are older systems more expensive to maintain, but they are also more vulnerable to hackers.

This illustrates why the term “homeless” is misleading. The vast majority of those on the streets are there due to severe drug addiction and/or mental illness.
The issue not that they got a little behind in their mortgage payments and would be back on their feet if someone just offered them a job.

Why is "unhoused" the politically correct version of homeless? Genuinely asking.
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 10 déc. 2024
Either term is generally a euphemism for mentally ill drug zombies.
Both “homeless” and “unhoused” imply that housing is the problem, but the vast majority of the time that is false.

3 hours before Trump took the stage, the gunman was caught with a range finder.
1 hour before, police took photos of him.
10 minutes before, snipers spotted him positioning himself on top of the roof.
