"There’s a camp of space experts who think Musk is flat-out wasting his time, and that engineering calculations already prove the reusable rockets to be a fool’s errand." (a note in your bio)
These "experts" were sooo wrong...

It would appear that their calculations were incorrect

China’s main space contractor is developing launch vehicles capable of learning and adapting as well as multiple technologies for recovering and reusing rockets. bit.ly/38jHahZ

China understands the profound importance of reusability. The era of expendable rockets will soon be over.

Good explanation. 4D is essential for dynamically occluded objects, especially in large intersections with dense vehicle & pedestrian traffic. Frame rate & latency from frame to wheel vector change also important.

Just looking for problem-solvers who get things done with a high sense of urgency. Don’t care if or where they went to school.

Maxwell was amazing. Should have more recognition. Tesla Motors, Inc., was almost called Faraday, as it took until late 2004/2005 to buy the trademark from a guy who had had it since 1995.

Faraday invented the electric motor, Tesla the (commutator-free, three-phase) AC induction motor, in other words, a useful electric motor

#OTD in 1879, J. C. Maxwell passed away.
Once Einstein said: "There would be no modern physics without Maxwell’s electromagnetic equations: I owe more to Maxwell than to anyone.”
In his office in Princeton there were 3 portraits: Newton, Faraday, #Maxwell.

Elon was found passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by "Teslaquilla" bottles, the tracks of dried tears still visible on his cheeks.
This is not a forward-looking statement, because, obviously, what's the point?
Happy New Month!

“I was originally supposed to become an engineer but the thought of having to expend my creative energy on things that make practical everyday life even more refined, with a loathsome capital gain as the goal, was unbearable to me.”
