AI is experimental science. Splitting 'researcher' & 'engineer' roles causes issues—e.g., researchers invent, then find it's inefficient on current hardware. Top AI researchers are often great engineers too.

Samsung is definitely the underdog when it comes to chipmaking. They are the current supplier for Tesla's AI3 and AI4 chips, but have struggled ramping up their smaller process nodes with acceptable yields while TSMC has excelled.

Grok Imagine is still early beta and is optimized for maximum fun, so should be evaluated as “fastest time to make a fun, shareable video”, rather than visual/auditory perfection.
Our heavy duty video model will train on the 110k GB200s coming online next month.
