Immigrants shouldn’t let what they see on social media upset them.
1. The internet is not representative of the broader population. 90% of people post nothing online, 9% comment, 1% actually post. Shocking takes get views, but that attention doesn’t mean these views are
isabelle 🪐@isabelleboemeke· 28 дек. 2024 г.Ngl it’s been tough for immigrants the past few days.
Many of us have given it all to the country we love and feel saddened by feeling like we’re not welcome.
But I also know that hate doesn’t represent the majority of Americans, on either side of the political divide.

3) Highly educated immigrants create jobs. Yes, they also compete for jobs, and I competed against some exceptionally brilliant leaders from all over the world. But those leaders have now either created or lead some of our most impressive companies.

I think most Americans are fine with some high skilled immigration, if it is truly top notch people in the top 1% of their skill set.
What we don’t want is replacement type immigration just so companies can get workers at 1/2 off discount wages.
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 28 дек. 2024 г.
Of course.
Btw, the $60k H1B minimum was set many years ago. If brought to present day, it would be more like a $120k minimum. Directionally correct.

Physics is the root node of understanding the outside world imo
Engineering is the practical application of physics
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 28 дек. 2024 г.
What matters is addressing the limiting of understanding. If you have enough data, create compression/prediction formulas aka physics.
If you don’t have enough data, build machines/devices to get more data aka engineering.
Latter is the limiting factor today.

People should study engineering. That is the closest thing to magic that exists in the real world.
I studied physics out of curiosity about the nature of the universe, but with many engineering classes mixed in.

He's been consistently saying "get rid of illegal immigration" and invite more bright and skilled "legal immigrants".
Nothing has changed.
Some people are claiming his "mask came off", but it seems to me that it's THEIR masks that came off.
