It’s not all about engineering, although that is my personal favorite. Striving to make products or provide services in excess of what you consume is the noble goal.

Yes, mostly because you can use the ship every week going to the moon instead of every two years for Mars (best case)

Starship + Super Heavy propellant mass is 4800 tons (78% O2 & 22% CH4). I think we can get propellant cost down to ~$100/ton in volume, so ~$500k/flight. With high flight rate, probably below $1.5M fully burdened cost for 150 tons to orbit or ~$10/kg.

Probably makes sense to have a “Details” section of the app that mirrors everything in the car. Would also allow phone to be used in lieu of car screen if car screen faults for any reason.

I do a lot of remote work, so a reliable, stable, and fast connection is a must-have. Not just for the occasional. I currently have fiber Internet with an average of 900Mbps up and down streams. But half of it would suffice.

Peak rate of about half that for version 1 is about right, but heavily dependent on users per cell. Aiming for latency under 20 ms.

They gave up on reusability post shuttle / now with SLS and in fact are producing a new version that’s cheaper that forgoes any attempt at reuse.

A fully & rapidly reusable orbital rocket is fundamental to extending life beyond Earth. Propellant cost is roughly a 1000th of vehicle cost (unless using a foolish propellant). Same principle as cars, planes, boats, etc.

I do not think it’s smart. SLS would require a full redesign and at this point there so many other (better) options coming online, let’s stop spending money on these engines and that system.
