FSD Beta 9.2 is actually not great imo, but Autopilot/AI team is rallying to improve as fast as possible. We’re trying to have a single stack for both highway & city streets, but it requires massive NN retraining.

Should we be nervous that you are building rockets, an army of robots, and say English will end?

Would it be a first step in moving Humans to become a Type 2 civilisation ? Side step Type 1 ?

There is a profound difference between single-planet & multiplanet species. If we are able to visit other stars one day, we may discover many long-dead single-planet civilizations.

Why going to Mars and making life multi-planetary is important: 1. To learn about the nature of life and consciousness. 2. To organize society by setting challenging and inspirational goals. 3. To do something that future societies will consider significant. @elonmusk

Tesla AI Day showed incredible engineering at all levels: AI hardware for inference & training, neural net design innovation, data, tools, auto-labeling & long-term vision for future of robotics. Here's a quick video I made on the key ideas presented: youtube.com/watch?v=ABbDB6…

If we consider language a technology, we've explored it deeply and still keep exploring with some help from AI.

My son asked if we would still speak English 7000 years from now. I said probably not. There was not even the faintest hint of English 7000 years ago.

Elon is basically Lawrence Robertson from U.S. Robots and Mechanical Men in Asimov's robot novels. This makes me excited about the future! Terraforming hostile worlds will require a lot of workforce in dangerous environments. Is this going to be mass produced and sent to Mars?

In your view how does Tesla Bot relate to Tesla’s mission?

Bot is not directly on the path of accelerating a sustainable energy future, but it aspirationally improves the probability that the future is good

Tesla now holds the mantle of Moore’s Law. Just as NVIDIA took leadership from Intel a decade ago. While the substrate has shifted several times, humanity's capacity to compute has compounded for 122 years as if on rails. It's surreal. Log scale details: flic.kr/p/2mihXZU
