It’s awesome that you know so much about how rockets work & their development history.

A troll was trying to get a rise out of me yesterday, suggesting that I should somehow feel bad about Elon's success after my failed aerospace venture. I can't overstate how alien that thought is to me -- my joy at these things being built is deep.

I have great admiration for John’s engineering ability! What he did with Armadillo was incredible.
I’ve tried to convince him many times to join SpaceX, but he has always declined (sigh).

I thought we had lost for sure. We were just a tiny company back then, only 1 of 4 launches got to orbit & I had no money left. Out of the blue, a few days before Christmas, NASA calls to say we won.
