Time for Tesla to take everything they learned from making the Cybercab and launch a new generation of AI-driven vehicles for people to buy.
The Cybercab marks a new line in the sand. Everything before the Cybercab was primarily human-driven and designed to be so (ie., performance, handling, acceleration, etc). But Cybercab and post-Cybercab vehicles are designed from ground-up to be driven by AI and for the passenger it's about comfort, calm/peace, entertainment, convenience, etc.
Further, the unboxed approach, RIM plastic outer shell, brake-by-wire, next iterations of drive train, thermal management, electronics, etc... all can be leveraged for a cheaper, more efficient and reliable next-gen consumer vehicles.
Think Cybercab but a 4-5 passenger model you can buy. And a 6-7 passenger model you can buy. Etc.
Would love to see Tesla explore the following:
Small sedan
Small CUV
Mid-size sedan
Mid-size SUV
Large SUV

The fact that @elonmusk has lots of money doesn’t make it yours—or the government’s, or anyone else’s.
It belongs to him.
The minute you cease to recognize that even for one person, everyone’s right to their own money is threatened.
Bernie Sanders@BernieSanders· 5. Sept. 2026One man (Mr. Musk) owns more wealth than the bottom half of American households.
Meanwhile, 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, nearly 800,000 are homeless and 85 million are uninsured.
We can do better. We must do better.

Max Levchin, CEO of Affirm and a PayPal co-founder, talked about knowing Elon Musk and the rest of the "PayPal Mafia" in the early days.
"We knew the true version of that person," Levchin said. "The ultra philosophical Peter Thiel, the go all in every time Elon Musk, the these days gubernatorial David Sacks."
He said he saw the real Elon Musk, not the public image. "I've seen him sweaty and tired and grumpy at the company kitchen a thousand times."
His takeaway is simple. These founders are not superhuman. "They're not gods, they're humans," Levchin said. "If that guy who's just a normal dude... he's going for this big of an idea, I should strive too."

MR BEAST: Starlink is literally magic.
“When I filmed in Antarctica, the only way to get any signal was Starlink. When I film in the middle of Malawi or Zimbabwe, or when we go to these countries to build wells or do projects, you can have internet just like you have here. Starlink is literally magic.
You can put a Starlink on top of your car. We had a four-hour drive in the middle of Africa, where there was no service and the roads didn’t exist. We put Starlink on top of the car. Perfect signal. The entire car.”

- Avionics boxes
- Main chamber spark igniters
Also, many bolted flanges were replaced with welded joints. That greatly reduces mass and leak paths, but makes it harder to replace some parts.

Did it take 3d metal printing make it feasible or was it just an engineering challenge?
Elon Musk

3D printing allowed us to integrate secondary flow paths into the primary components.
However, I would not recommend 3D printing for volume manufacturing. It is too slow and expensive.
