I can confirm this. I’ve doubled my annual miles “driven” because my robot drives me 99% of the time.
Robert Scoble@Scobleizer· 17 juil. 2026My robot is driving me to a robot company in San Francisco.
Life is good! Hope you have a great weekend.
One thing about having a robot to drive you: you will drive more.
I wouldn’t drive the three hour round trip from my house in San Jose nearly as often if I had to manually

Traffic will get much worse with robot cars, because the pain of driving yourself is not there anymore!

I gave xAI a lot of shit for Grok Build’s repo-upload behavior, so they deserve the same volume when they fix it.
I pulled the new signed release, planted fake secrets, and captured its HTTPS traffic with MITM proxies. The fix held as retention was off on first login and had no
Ara@arafatkatze· 14 juil. 2026Grok Build is straight up malware behavior with an Apple notarized signature.
You could explicitly deny the agent permission to read a file and it would upload that exact file anyway, because a separate code path silently packed your entire repo, full Git history included, and

Grok 4.5 is only 1.5T parameters.
Kimi K3 is 2.8T... and costs 3× more per task.
SpaceXAI cracked intelligence efficiency.
Now imagine Grok at 3T.

Elon Musk@elonmusk· 17 juil. 2026Grok 4.5 is arguably #1 when taking speed and cost into account
Elon Musk
@elonmusk · 18 juil. 2026
Our 2T model, which is better than our 1.5T in every way, will finish initial training next week. It might be able to exceed Kimi, but with speed and token efficiency close to our 1.5T (aka Grok 4.5).

observation if I may…
More input from primary sources and real-world data, with less reliance on potentially biased secondary sources like Wikipedia would be high-leverage for Grok. Training data quality remains one of the biggest remaining advantages in model development.

Grok 4.5 uses less tokens than any other big model, performance great on almost all tasks, cost you cheaper than any big model, finishes the task faster than others. Makes me happy :)

Grok TTS just took the top spot on The Humanness Index
It scored 94 for humanness....just six points below the human baseline of 100 and achieved the highest model rating
Even the cost difference is insane:
• Grok TTS: $15
• Eleven v3: $100
Grok delivers the higher

I don't invest in space stocks because I cover space companies, or pretend to understand irrational market moves. But the idea that a space company stock would fall after an abort, which actually saved the rocket shows the company's procedures work as intended, is pretty dumb.
