Grok has the best value for coding
CognitionCognition@cognition· 17 juil. 2026
The FrontierCode leaderboard is now live: a dedicated page that tracks which models are writing code you’d actually merge. All scores including Grok 4.5 and Inkling are available, along with full methodology and sample tasks.

@PeterDiamandis I said SpaceX will be worth more than Earth if we achieve our goals. Obviously true.

This emerging industry is doing what software companies are supposed to do: compete and improve products rapidly. My view is, we should treat this as normal human progress and avoid moral, regulatory, and geopolitical panics over AI.

Big news: Kimi-K3 by @Kimi_Moonshot is now #1 in the Frontend Code Arena with 1679 pts, surpassing Claude Fable 5. This is a 17-place jump from Kimi-k2.6 (#18 -> #1). In Frontend, Kimi-K3 ranked #1 in 6 of 7 domains: Brand & Marketing, Reference-Based Design, Data & Analytics,

Grok 4.5 is arguably #1 when taking speed and cost into account
X FreezeX Freeze@XFreeze· 17 juil. 2026
Grok 4.5’s efficiency is ridiculous On Artificial Analysis, it costs just $0.31 per Intelligence Index task while delivering frontier intelligence For comparison: Claude Fable 5 (max): $2.75 Claude Opus 4.8 (max): $1.80 GPT-5.6 Sol (max): $1.04 Kimi K3: $0.95

I've been using Kimi K3 for ~16 hours now. The model is clearly good at a lot of different things (especially frontend), but non obvious reason why people are enjoying it so much is that it clearly does not follow the same rules in terms of safeguards and copyright. Kimi will

IMHO this is primarily because the *benefits* of AI are still spread on an *extreme* power law distribution. A few people, primarily in tech, are reaping enormous windfalls, while for the vast majority of the population AI seems extremely nebulous, at best.
Penny2xPenny2x@imPenny2x· 16 juil. 2026
It’s actually completely crazy to me that some people still doubt the future of AI. We are watching a once in human history exponential takeoff and I promise even the most optimistic predictions underestimate impact.

Elon's claim that SpaceX will be worth more than Earth sounds insane until you realize that all owned material wealth on Earth is about $600 trillion and that every valuable resource on Earth exists in near infinite quantities in space.

Kimi K3 may be an important inflection point for AI. Potentially negative for Anthropic and OpenAI while being net positive for essentially every other company in the world. I mean that very literally. Although the real “Sputnik moment” would be an open-source frontier model that

A lot of this is simply downstream from most couples voluntarily gendering their task roles. I would get laughed at for weeks, if I spent a full day in court or a data lab, and started calling myself "An independent baddie who don't need no GIRL to pay my bills!"
